GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Players participating in the Armada Player Leadership Program are expected to represent the club with commitment, responsibility, sportsmanship, and respect.
Armada players are expected to attend training consistently, arrive prepared with the correct equipment, communicate with their coach when they cannot attend, and represent the club appropriately during training and competition.
Leadership also means setting a positive example through effort, attitude, fair play, accountability, and respect for teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and the wider Armada community.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Players should demonstrate sportsmanship, positive communication, responsibility, effort, and respect in training, games, and club activities.
SUPPORT TEAM CULTURE
Leadership means helping create an inclusive and supportive environment, encouraging teammates, responding positively to setbacks, and contributing to strong relationships within the team.
SUPPORT THE ARMADA COMMUNITY
Leadership activities may include helping with club events, recreational soccer activities, camps, clinics, community initiatives, or other opportunities organized by Armada.
HELP CREATE OPPORTUNITY
Armada’s sponsorship program supports families with financial need, additional youth programs, equipment, uniforms and recreational soccer. Players and families can help strengthen awareness and support for these club initiatives.
GET INVOLVED!
The Armada Player Leadership Program gives players an opportunity to put the club’s values into action.
By taking responsibility, supporting teammates, serving the club community, and becoming positive examples for younger players, athletes can develop leadership skills that extend beyond soccer.
Leadership at Armada is about more than being a strong player. It is about character, communication, accountability, teamwork, and representing the club with class.
Armada Youth Soccer Association provides an inclusive recreational soccer environment for boys and girls ages 4–18.
The program welcomes players regardless of skill level, with no tryout or selection process required. Teams are formed for spring and fall seasons, and the focus is on development, teamwork, technical and tactical learning, and creating an enjoyable experience for players and families.
Recreational coaches are volunteers who receive training from Armada Futbol Club coaches before the season, helping create a consistent development environment throughout the club.
Armada Futbol Club believes strong player development is connected to a strong club community.
Through sponsorship and community support, Armada helps provide financial assistance to families, reduce the cost of youth soccer, support additional youth and recreational programs, purchase equipment and uniforms, and maintain facilities used by players.
Supporting these initiatives helps create more opportunities for young athletes while strengthening the family and community culture at the heart of Armada Futbol Club.
